So playing support effectively is kind of dependent on your allies having items and abilities that are worth refreshing and that refreshing their items and cards is better for the party than refreshing your own. The support abilities on the cards aren’t of the type, ‘Ally may perform an X ability’. The Support build is also an option for the Quartermaster as a hybrid with damage or tank. So while you can tank, and do sometimes with the build I played, you won’t be as good at it as other classes can be. The perks sheet is missing some of the perks you’d expect from a tank, namely – Shield, Push, Immobilize and Disarm. So you’d need to combine tanking with damage or support.
